Gas to power

Guaranteed power, anytime, anywhere

More power with less emissions.

Reliable power is an essential requirement for Africa’s industrial development. Most of African countries are deeply affected by power supply inefficiency’s and continuously looking for ways to mitigate such, mostly relying on high emission and costly diesel generation. At Grüner we provide a cost-effective future solution today - in the form of transition and zero emission fuel power generation and supply to IPP’s and commercial / industrial customers.

Transition energy explained.

Transition energy is simply the gradual transition from fossil based fuels such as coal or diesel to renewable low- carbon fuels (CNG / LNG) or zero carbon fuels (Hydrogen/other) in energy generation.

There are multiple benefits to it and is extremely cost effective against traditional fossil fuels.

Future fuels explained.

Future fuels are already powering utilities and industries globally today, it’s the fuels that will replace current fossil fuels as the world transition to net-zero generation.

These fuels include green hydrogen and hydrogen-based fuels such as synthetic methane, ammonia, and methanol, as well as bio and synthetic liquefied natural gas. >

Why convert to transition fueled power?

Investing in flexible, renewable engine power plants will future proof your investment and avoid stranded assets as fossil fuels are phased out.

What’s the benefits?

Future ready engines that operate on known and renewable fuels integrating wind / solar and battery storage systems.

Smart Investment with cost-effective new technology and improved performance.

Flexible power generation with ramp-up ramp-down balancing power feed.

Future ready solutions.

Grüner is a technology agnostic company and employ various new technologies from global leading technology research and development companies.

These can be in the form of low noise renewable gas generators or gas turbines pending customer electrical demand.

Renewable gas fired engines standby or continuous power

  • Standby or continuous power
  • Up to 3000 kVA in 50- or 60 Hz markets
  • Open, canopy or containerised
  • Robust, non-corrosive low noise or silent
  • Anti-theft GPS location
  • Remote monitoring & operation control
  • Flexible multi-fueled configuration

Upstream and midstream sectors

Designed to withstand extreme conditions these engines are in use by well head operators and in auxiliary services 24 hours a day. >

Commercial and industrial (C&I)

Renewable gas engines are employed on-site as stand alone or in parallel configuration.

Business cannot stop and our solutions provide you with on-site or remote management ensuring continuous power delivery customised to demand.

Telecoms

A preferred choice in areas where theft is real problem. Engines are hybrid configured, equipped with a GPS location system and fuel alarm.

Real time remote monitoring ensures full operational control and gas level indication for on time re-gas supply.

Residential areas

Low noise or silent configuration distributed power to secure uninterrupted power supply to residential areas.

These units automatically kick in within seconds when feed is interrupted. Units are typically installed in hybrid configuration with solar / wind generation as backup in balancing power supply.

Renewable gas fired turbines.

Simple configuration:

Small scale:          30- to 50MW

Medium scale:     50- to 200MW

Large scale:          200- to 500MW
