Low-Carbon Fuels
Scaling up Africa’s natural gas resources with low-carbon transition fuels replacing carbon heavy base-load generation.
Natural Gas
Clean and compressed natural gas is transported from gas sources to customers via pipeline networks and is the most cost-effective and efficient method.
Where customers do not have gas pipeline access and has a high enough baseload to justify the capital cost for the pipeline, Grüner will endeavor to establish such a facility.
Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)
LNG gas proved to be much cleaner source of energy and a excellent investment towards your electricity demand. Natural gas proves the cheaper option when supplied to power plants in the form of LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) in the absence of pipeline feed.
CO2
We use the CO2 in downstream processes including for example fertilisers, methanol, beverages, green houses or converting the gas into an inert form as a carbonated salt.
Newer concepts include production of hydrogen for fuel and solid carbon from traditional fossil fuels eliminating co-produced CO2.
Biogas
Biogas and bio syngas is a renewable fuel and an environmentally friendly process to capture the methane emitted through natural decomposition of waste materials, agricultural waste or municipal water treatment reducing GHG emission considerably. In this way green power can be produced either directly from the gas or supplied as green LNG to a power plant.
Green Ammonia or Methanol
Liquefaction of green Hydrogen and transporting the liquid is expensive and converting the hydrogen into either ammonia or methanol is being considered as economic alternatives. In the case of ammonia nitrogen is obtained through air separation driven by green power while the CO2 required form Methanol production is captured from existing emission sources.
Hydrogen & Derivatives
Hydrogen is the fuel of choice for the future zero carbon world. Green Hydrogen generated from renewable energy is the ultimate goal. Blue and Turquoise Hydrogen can be generated from Natural gas through Carbon capture and storage or by cracking the gas into Hydrogen and carbon respectively.

LNG – Liquefied Natural Gas
LNG is delivered via virtual pipeline by CNG powered trucks with an energy storage facility to directly supply customers with regassification option at point of delivery.
Cost-effective natural gas liquefaction technologies and modularisation provide effective LNG supply to local consumers through the much shorter and cheaper logistics chain as compared to imported LNG.
Natural Gas
Pending pipeline transmission availability from source to customer location gas is delivered via pipeline.
Before transmission to customers metering and odorisation is done. Customers connected to the pipeline receives the gas at which point billing metering and pressure reduction is done to customer requirement.
CNG – Compressed Natural Gas
CNG is delivered via virtual pipeline by compressing natural gas into tube trailers for delivery to customer location or remote area of operation.
Pre-delivery the gas is scrubbed, cleaned and devoid of moisture. CNG is the preferred method of delivery for a shorter distance after which LNG becomes more cost effective
Market storage
We custom design and employ various sizes and shapes of storage vessels to type, pressure requirement, horizontal or vertical installation.
Re-gas / Re-fuel
We remotely monitor your consumption and re-gas according to demand.
For customers not on monitoring online orders need be placed.
